Motorsport UK British Rally Championship drivers will be in with a chance of testing the latest generation Hyundai i20 N Rally2 in 2023.
In addition to the prize drive opportunity for the Junior BRC champion who will tackle a round of the 2023 FIA World Rally Championship, there will also be an opportunity for a British Championship ace to test the new Rally2 machine.
Thanks to a collaboration between the British Rally Championship and Hyundai Motorsport Customer Racing and open to any registered BRC1 or Junior BRC contender, the test will be offered to the driver who has impressed the Hyundai Motorsport team during the 2022 season thanks to their performances on the stages.
The test will see a British Rally Championship driver get behind the wheel of a Hyundai i20 N Rally2, the follow-on from its hugely successful predecessor, the i20 R5. The opportunity will offer the chance to experience the impressive Rally2 offering from the Alzenau based manufacturer, with guidance from the team to make the most out of the test.
Iain Campbell, British Rally Championship Manager said: “The chance for a British Rally Championship driver to test with a world championship team is a very exciting prospect for us indeed. Hyundai Motorsport has been a supporter of the BRC since 2019 and this test, coupled with the Junior prize drive is a very impressive offering indeed. We are indebted to Andrew Johns [Hyundai Motorsport Customer Racing Manager] and the team for their invaluable support”.
