Ulster Rally: Rally Guide 1

The popular Modern Tyres Ulster Rally will welcome the British Rally Championship back to Newry this 18/19 August as the prestigious two-day closed road asphalt event takes the series back to Northern Ireland. Event organisers have now unveiled the outline format for the weekend, offering an impressive 97 miles of competitive action, spread over two days and ten special stages.

Starting at 15:00 on Friday 18 August from the impressive Modern Tyres facility in Newry, crews will head out to tackle 32 miles of special stages before the first car returns to the overnight halt at around 22:00 – lamp pods required!

Saturday hosts the longest leg at just over 65 competitive stage miles, before a late afternoon finish back at the Modern Tyres building. Re-groups will take place in Banbridge and Armagh during the event.

Having hosted a sensational 2021 BRC season finale, the bumpy and challenging lanes will also see the BRC, and Irish Tarmac Rally Championship crews resume their friendly rivalry for top spot!
