Reigning Belgian champion and former Citroën factory driver Stéphane Lefebvre has signed up to the British Rally Championship for the forthcoming Ardeca Ypres Rally (22-24 June).
The Frenchman will go head-to-head with the BRC regulars making the trip, including fellow countryman and WRC2 ace Adrien Fourmaux as the top-draw drivers battle to claim one of the most sought after rally wins in Europe.
Lefebvre will pilot a Citroën C3 Rally2 on the event, run by the DG Sport Competition outfit and has previously enjoyed success on the spectacular asphalt rally, winning the WRC2 category in 2022 when it formed part of the World Rally Championship roster.
“Stéphane will be aligned in the classification of the British Rally Championship, which also stops in the Westhoek, says Alain Georges on behalf of DG Sport Competition. In British competition, the use of tires is free, and we benefit from an agreement with Michelin as part of this operation. The battle, especially with Adrien Fourmaux, promises to be fun, and I think that the public will be the big winner of Stéphane’s return to the Belgian team”.
Yes we will Alain!
