The Aberystwyth-based rally (September 5-7) is a counting round of both the BRC and the FIA European Rally Championship, and Pearson will score championship points in both aboard his M-Sport Ford Fiesta Rally2.
The Scottish driver made his ERC debut at the same event last year, but has made great strides forward in 2025 – challenging for podiums at every round of the British championship so far.
Paired once more with co-driver Hannah McKillop – who has started several ERC rallies already this year – Pearson is relishing the challenge of comparing himself to the continent’s best drivers on some of the UK’s most demanding Tarmac rally stages.
Recently heading out to France for coaching with former World Rally Championship driver Eric Camilli, Pearson – who’ll celebrate his birthday on the final day of Rali Ceredigion – has maximised his preparation as he bids to score important BRC points, and also help his M-Sport team-mate Jon Armstrong in the ERC.
We feel like we’ve had the pace to be on the podium at every round of the championship so far, but we know Ceredigion is probably the most demanding rally on the calendar. My goal is to put everything I’ve been learning into practice and come away knowing I’ve done my absolute best.
“It’s exciting to be part of the FIA European Rally Championship again like we were last year, representing Britain’s biggest rally team at Britain’s biggest rally. For myself to compare myself to these drivers is exactly what I need, and the global exposure we’ll get for our partners is superb too – the helicopter followed us for a full stage last year and the value in that is brilliant.
“However it’s important that we don’t lose sight of our objectives. The goal for us is to secure the absolute best season result we can in the British Rally Championship – particularly as Ceredigion is worth more points than other events.
“Having said that, our M-Sport team-mate Jon Armstrong has an outside shot at the European title so we will be doing our best to support him as well. He, Romet Jurgenson and I will be working together to showcase the M-Sport Ford Fiesta Rally2’s clear potential and will be helping one another to make sure we’re all at the front.”
