2026 British Rally Championship Registrations Open

The British Rally Championship has today [16th February] opened its registrations for the highly anticipated 2026 season.

In its 68th year, Britain’s premier rallying series will once again feature a six-round calendar, encompassing a later start to the season with April’s Severn Valley Stages kick-starting the campaign in Wales.

Some of the best asphalt and gravel events will test championship contenders with longer, tougher events and pre-event recce on all rounds.

Changes for the forthcoming season include the introduction of a new Masters category in BRC1 for competitors over 50 years old, a new segregation to the BRC Teams with a two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive title on offer, and the introduction of a reserve round at the end of the season, Rally Anglo Caledonian.

The British Rally Championship is open to all homologated machinery, including ratified right-hand-drive conversions and will likely see the BRC title fight come from BRC1 [Rally2] category. The Junior BRC is catered for in the BRC4 [Rally4] and BRC5 [Rally5] classes. Rally3 is also welcomed in the BRC3 class.

The series will offer a place for all vehicles with a Motorsport UK and Motorsport Ireland Passport, with the popular National Rally Title returning for 2026 for all non-homologated/non-R5/Rally2/WRC cars.  The Open Rally Title will not run in 2026, due to new Motorsport UK regulations requiring R5/Rally2 to be run with their homologated turbo restrictors.

Championship registration fees have been frozen at 2025 levels and the BRC media package for the season ahead will be announced shortly.
