We regret to announce that the third round of the 2026 Motorsport UK British Rally Championship, the Kielder Carlisle Stages [5/6 June], has today [15 May] been cancelled by the event organisers.
Promoted by the Roger Albert Clark Rally Motor Club, the event has sadly received a low number of entries for the two-day event, and with the number required unlikely to be obtained, organisers have been forced to cancel the rally.
“We are, of course, incredibly disappointed to hear that the event has been cancelled,” said BRC Championship Manager Reece Tarren.
“The Carlisle Stages was a fantastic addition to the calendar in 2025 when the BRC was looking for a replacement event, thanks to the cancellation of the Severn Valley Stages due to storm damage in the Welsh forests. It was enjoyed by all our crews, so to hear that the entry numbers are low is very disheartening”.
“We would like to thank the Roger Albert Clark Rally Motor Club for all their efforts in creating what we believed to be a superb event worthy of the BRC calendar. We fully understand and respect their decision and appreciate the early notice to allow our competitors and teams time to make alternative plans.
“From a championship perspective, we will now consider our options and make an announcement in due course”.
