20 years ago Colin McRae/Derek Ringer became Great Britain’s first World Rally Champions. To celebrate the fact Subaru USA commissioned JRM Group to build an WRX STI NR4 for the event.
“When the idea of competing in Colin’s 1995 winning colours was talked about, I knew it would be an emotional experience. When I crossed the finish line five-and-a-half minutes ahead of the nearest GroupN car, the feeling was just incredible,” says David Higgins.
“Colin was such a special guy for a whole world of rally fans. And what he and Derek achieved was something none of us will ever forget.”
