North Yorkshire’s Luke Constantine will make the next big step in his rapidly rising career in 2026, confirming a move into the Junior British Rally Championship at the wheel of a brand-new Opel Corsa Rally4.
The 22-year-old, from Richmond, is aiming high this season, having already built an enviable CV across multiple disciplines.
Constantine’s motorsport journey began at just four years old on trials bikes, before switching to rallycross at 14. Success came quickly. He was crowned Motorsport UK British Junior Rallycross Championship champion and became the youngest ever winner of the BTRDA Rallycross Gold Star Championship, securing the title twice in succession.
A switch to stage rallying brought more silverware. In 2024, he claimed the MG3 Rally Challenge title, before stepping up again in 2025 to win Class F in the Protyre Asphalt Rally Championship driving an Opel Adam R2. His performance also helped co-driver Ifan Devine, who scooped the John Easson Award for his performance across the season.
Now, Constantine is ready for his biggest challenge yet as he joins the British Rally Championship junior ranks. In addition to his JBRC campaign, he will also contest the Stellantis Rally Trophy UK in the Corsa Rally4.
“Ifan and I are absolutely delighted that we’ve managed to make it happen this year,” said Constantine.
“It’s been a hectic few months trying to pull plans together but things are starting to take shape now. We will be contesting in the JBRC and also the Stellantis Rally Trophy in our brand new Opel Corsa Rally4”.
“I’m really proud of what we’ve achieved so far in my career, winning the Junior British Rallycross Championship and becoming the youngest ever BTRDA Gold Star champion, and doing that two years in a row, are things that mean a lot to me.
“We are constantly learning and developing our skills. Coming from a rallycross background, there has been a huge amount for me to change in how I approach things over these past two seasons, but I do believe we are now ready to prove that we are capable of going up against the best juniors in the UK.”
