McCormack and Ahlin share the top BRC spot

After three intensive and exciting stages, Marty McCormack (Skoda Fabia S2000) and Fredrik Ahlin (Ford Fiesta R5) share the MSA British Rally Championship top spot after setting equal overall times on this mornings three tests, Cairncastle, Knockboy and the iconic ‘The Glens’ which utilises the famous Torr Head.
Rounding out the top three is Josh Moffett who is just a mere five seconds behind.

Early leader Elfyn Evans retired on the third stage with mechanical problems forcing the event leader to stop out on stage. Pre event favourite Keith Cronin didn’t make it to the end of Stage 1 after an accident.

In the DMACK Junior BRC, homegrown hero Robert Duggan leads the way from Vauxhall ADAM teammate Mattias Adielsson. The gap separating the pair is 17 seconds while Blair Brown is third in a Ford Fiesta R2.

Action resumes at 15:05 – Knockboy 2.
