Pirelli targets more British Rally Championship success in 2025

The British Rally Championship (BRC) is back for another thrilling season in 2025, and global tyre giant Pirelli is once again at the forefront, aiming to continue its legacy as one of the leading tyre manufacturers in the series.

With a strong lineup of drivers and teams relying on Pirelli’s proven rubber, the Italian brand is looking to build on its most recent BRC title success in 2023 with Adrien Fourmaux.

Since the rejuvenation of the BRC in 2016, four-wheel drive machinery leads the charge at the front of the championship, ensuring intense competition across the season. Several high-profile names have been attracted to the series, many of which will be running on Pirelli rubber.

Among those leading the Pirelli effort is FIA Rally Star winner and 2024 Junior WRC champion Romet Jurgenson, who embarks on his maiden BRC campaign with the M-Sport Ford Rally Team in a Fiesta Rally2. Team-mate Garry Pearson took runner up spot to Fourmaux in 2023 and joins the Estonian on Pirelli tyres.

They will face stiff competition from other leading contenders, including Castrol MEM Rally Team front-runner Meirion Evans in a Yaris GR Rally2, multiple BTRDA champion Elliot Payne in a Fiesta Rally2 and Welsh champion Matt Hirst in a Skoda Fabia Rally2, ensuring that a full range of top-tier Rally2 cars will be relying on the Pirelli brand.

Jonathan Wells, Pirelli UK Motorsport Manager said: “ Its great to be embarking on yet another year of the BRC with such a strong level of competition across all classes. Many competitors continue to trust our P Zero Asphalt and Scorpion Gravel range of tyres which gives us great satisfaction and allows us to prove how well these products work in a huge variety of conditions. We have some product updates in both ranges this year, which we trust will push the performance envelope even higher and contribute to the spectacle of the 2025 season”.

With a rich history of success in the BRC, Pirelli is determined to add another title to its name in 2025. As the championship unfolds, all eyes will be on the drivers battling for supremacy with the East Riding Stages Rally kicking off the season on 23 February.
