The Grampian Forest Rally is based near Aberdeen, in north east Scotland.
The forests of Fetteresso, Durris and Drumtochty provide the competitive route of 44 miles along with an extremely compact liason route.
The stages will include roads which have gained reputation for quality and enjoyment – smooth fast and flowing with character of their own. A bit like a good malt whisky.
The events field at Milton of Crathes, by Banchory, is again the location for the rally base and scrutineering, documentation and central servicing will all take place at this one venue.
Competitor feedback has always been great, typically 100% survey response and 98% considering stages to be good or excellent. The 2017 winner, David Bogie, was quoted as saying “these are the best stages I’ve done this year”- praise indeed from someone who had done many SRC and BRC events prior to the Grampian.
The ultimate accolade has been the presentation of the Coogie Urquhart Quaich by the Scottish Rally Championship for the best event of 2019, adding this to the SRC Chairman’s Cup awarded in 2016.
