The 2025 Probite British Rally Championship is entering its decisive phase and with just two rounds remaining, the crown could be sealed as early as Sunday [7th September] night at the JDS Machinery Rali Ceredigion.
The Aberystwyth-based event, renowned for its fast and technical closed-road asphalt stages, could host several title showdowns that have been building up all year. With four rounds already in the books, the points table has created a clear scenario in the BRC overall fight, the Junior BRC tussle, the Open Rally title fight, and the BRC3 honours: one more big result in Wales could see the championship wrapped up before the finale.
After a thrilling tit-for-tat season across the UK on both surfaces, William Creighton/Liam Regan head to Wales at the top of the standings. But teammates Meririon Evans/Dale Furniss are in hot pursuit. As it stands, Callum Black, Romet Jurgenson and Garry Pearson still have mathematical chances at the title, but should the stars align for the Toyota team, the crown could be lifted early.
To become British Rally Champion in Ceredigion:
There are many more permutations of course, but the headlines show just how finely poised it is.
Like its BRC1 brother, the Junior BRC battle as been intense and Kyle McBride is locked in a fight with Joe Kelly heading to Aberystwyth.
To become Junior British Rally Champion in Ceredigion:
Again, there are many more permutations – but it’s tight!
Just contesting two rounds so far this season has been enough for Sam Touzel/Max Freeman to be able to seal the title in Wales.
But the BRC is rarely straightforward. With bonus Joker points available for those who nominated to use them this weekend, and the unpredictable nature of closed-road tarmac rallies, the door is still open for challengers to drag the fight into the final round.
