McFall makes Junior BRC debut at the Severn Valley

Rising rally talent Ben McFall is set to take the next step in his career this weekend as he makes his debut in the Severn Valley Stages, the opening round of the Junior British Rally Championship.

The Northern Irish driver arrives in the championship on the back of an impressive rise through the motorsport ranks. McFall first made his mark in karting, where he became a two-time Northern Ireland Karting Champion before progressing into Ginetta circuit racing. A switch to rallying in 2024 proved to be a turning point.

Starting out in a Mitsubishi Evo 9, he built his experience and confidence at an alarming pace, securing the Northern Ireland Junior Rally Championship title at the first attempt.

Moving into a Ford Fiesta Rally4, McFall contested the Motorsport Ireland Junior Rally Series, tackling a challenging mix of gravel and asphalt events across the South of Ireland. Consistency proved key, as he delivered strong performances throughout the season to finish second overall, while also claiming the coveted Best Newcomer award.

Now, the focus shifts to a new challenge in Britain. The Junior BRC offers McFall the opportunity to compete against a deeper and more varied field, while also experiencing unfamiliar events and terrains.

“Looking ahead, my aim for the Junior British Rally Championship is to continue developing my skills by competing on new rallies and experiencing different types of terrain” he says.

“I’m particularly looking forward to adapting to new events, competing against a broader and more competitive field, and seeing how far I can progress over the season. Ultimately, my goal is to use this opportunity to take the next step in my rallying career and open up future pathways within the sport”.

McFall will be co-driven by Richard Crozier in Wales.
