The Probite British Rally Championship will welcome a brand-new challenge to the roster for 2025, as the East Riding Stages Rally joins the series to offer an all-new start to Britain’s premier rally series.
In its 67th season, the BRC will continue to open its account on a sealed surface but will head for the closed public roads surrounding Beverley in East Yorkshire to kick start a fresh look to the billing, getting its campaign underway at the 23 February event.
With ten demanding special stages in prospect for some of the best drivers in the business, the popular event also focuses on a truly accessible and engaging rally for a wide audience both in the region and further afield, encouraging rally fans and casual followers to sample the thrill and spill of top-tier rally action.
Organisers Beverley & District Motor Club have announced a string of impressive engagement activities for fans which include a dedicated FanZone which encompasses the popular Beverley town centre start and finish ceremonies, plus a parc expose ahead of the podium celebrations on Saturday afternoon offering a chance for the public to meet the crews and get up close to the cars and stars of the event.
A Spectator Superspecial Stage will also take place across Beverley Westwood, offering spectators a unique and thrilling view of the spectacular rally cars in action and Probite British Rally Championship Manager Reece Tarren is delighted to welcome the event onto the roster.
“We are very excited to be kicking off our 2025 season at the East Riding Stages Rally,” he says.
“The fantastic Yorkshire closed roads will be a fascinating proving ground for the British Rally Championship crews and offer an interesting challenge to begin the season, battling each other and the possible weather in February too.
“The Legend Fires North West Stages was certainly a dramatic start to the 2024 season but with the event not running in 2025, we sought an alternative event that would fit the bill.
“What stands out to me is the effort and work behind the scenes from the organisers to bring rallying into the heart of the community. Their engagement events and fan-focused format are exactly what our sport needs. The enthusiasm from the team is very encouraging too and that resonates throughout the rally offering. It’s looking like a great start to the season, and we hope this early announcement will give our competitors the best possible preparation for the season ahead.”

The new-look BRC calendar, set to be announced in the coming weeks, will once again offer crews a challenging, action-packed campaign including the best asphalt and gravel rallies, encompassing some of the most testing stages in the UK.
